Sunlight Apartment

The brief

A young couple's first shared home: 58 m², two rooms, a dark enclosed kitchen and plenty of morning light the old layout simply wasted. The ask was simple: make it bright, make it calm, and fit a big table for friends.

The approach

We opened the kitchen wall so the living and cooking areas became one east-facing room. The palette follows the light: off-white walls, oiled oak, sand and clay textiles, a single terracotta accent on the kitchen island.

Lighting is layered in three — ambient, task and mood — so the apartment keeps its warmth after sunset.

The result

A home where morning coffee is the best moment of the day, and six people fit comfortably around the table.
